Colin Ross visits Trinity Training Services

11.08.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 10th Sep 2005

Colin Ross, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson from Wolverhampton South West yesterday attended a breakfast meeting with Trinity Training Services. Colin heard a presentation and then participated in a discussion about issues that concerned Trinity, such as the Education Maintenance Allowance. After the breakfast Colin had an opportunity to meet some of the trainees.

Colin Ross said "I am delighted Trinity Training Services invited me along to meet with them. I was concerned to hear how the Government's Education Maintenance Allowance will hit them and could lose them many trainees, it is another example of this Government's badly thought out policy. The EMA could actually deter people who need training from receiving any! I will be discussing this with the Liberal Democrat Education Team at our Conference the week after next."

Trinity Training Services are a training provider based in Wolverhampton South West for young people aged 14-24. Trinity were founded in 1986 by three voluntary organisations that had been provided YTS training. They have since gone from strength to strength and moved just outside the City Centre of Wolverhampton.
