The annual Fresher's Fayre took place today at the University of the Wolverhampton. The Liberal Democrats were the only mainstream political party to have a stand at the Fayre and signed up a number of new members and took details of many more that expressed an interest.
Colin Ross, Wolverhampton South West's candidate in this year's General Election said "It is enjoyable to go back to my old University and run our Fresher's stand. We received a lot of interest and hope to have an active student society this academic year. I was surprised that neither the Conservatives or Labour bothered to attend, perhaps this shows how much they believe in students and their lack of attractive policies."
The Liberal Democrat stand was organised and run by Adam Teladia and Colin Ross. Other stands present included the Sikh Society, the Islamic Society, the Union of Jewish Students, Respect and the Socialist Party.
Printed and hosted by Prater Raines Ltd, 98 Sandgate High Street, Folkestone CT20 3BY.
Published and promoted by Wolverhampton Liberal Democrats, 54 Clifford Street, Wolverhampton, WV6 0AA.
The views expressed are those of the party, not of the service provider.
