Robin Lawrence inspects the freshly painted road markings

Why are there no road markings at the junction of Sweetman Street and Walpole Street?" Robin Lawrence asked the City's Highways Department.

They should have been there long ago and local residents told Robin about the dangerous driving they have seen at this corner. Responding to Robin's request the City council had white lines painted at the junction over the week end.

The new road markings mean that cars leaving Sweetman Street must give way to traffic on Walpole Street.

And there is no excuse for cars entering Sweetman Street to cut the corner as too many have been doing.
