Tory policy review has long way to go - George

4.28.00pm GMT Tue 27th Dec 2005

Commenting on the launch of the Conservative Party's International Development policy review, Liberal Democrat Shadow International Development Secretary Andrew George MP said "Because of the heritage of the Conservative party they have got a lot to do to persuade others that they are no longer the party of greed and the producer interest."

Mr. George further said "It remains to be seen if the process they are engaged in is merely window dressing or contains ideas of substance. People who are being dragged in to this review should be careful their reputation is not being used and possibly damaged for the future."
