Chris Huhne endorses David Jack

Local Liberal Democrat campaigner and candidate for Heathtown, David Jack, has had his campaign in Heathtown endorsed and supported by one of the Liberal Democrat Leadership Contenders recently.

Chris Huhne MP met with David on Saturday 18th February. Chris heard about the sterling efforts being made by David and the Liberal Democrats in the Heathtown ward towards tackling inner city poverty, crime and education.

David said, following the meeting, that he was now even more determined to end Labour's uncaring and arrogant stance in the ward towards the local election. David has pledged to make extra efforts towards both capturing the seat in this May's local elections as well as working with all of the people of Heathtown in a concerted effort to bring a better quality of life to the area.

David also called on people from Wolverhampton to back the Liberal Democrats as the only credible alternative to Labour and encouraged anyone who was interested in their local area to come on board with the Liberal Democrats before the next elections.

He said "Whilst Labour have failed the electorate of Wolverhampton year on year, there is no point in voting Tory just because Cameron appears to be Liberal. This is the man who piloted many of the Tories policies at the last general election and he has only paid lip service to Liberal Democracy. If you want Liberal Democrat policies, based on fairness, why vote for the pretenders to the liberal crown? The only way to get Liberal policy is to vote Liberal Democrat."
