Tories crash to 3rd place in Park Ward

Change in percentage share of the vote since 2004

The Liberal Democrats said all along that the Tories couldn't win in Park Ward but when the votes were finally counted they were in 3rd place. Voting Conservative actually let Labour win as they had just 128 votes more than the Liberal Democrats.

The Result was

Lab 1405 36.9% down from 43.2% in 2004

Robin Lawrence

Lib Dem 1277 33.5% up from 22% in 2004

Con 1129 29.6% down from 34.8% in 2004

It is unlikely that you will hear anything from the Labour councillor until the next election but the Lib Dems will continue to work for the area come what may.
