BBC TV interview Colin Ross as they probe Tory sleaze

How is it that Sandip Verma, the Conservative candidate in Wolverhampton South West in the 2005 general election, failed to win a seat in the House of Commons but in next to no time was given a title and seat in the House of Lords? That's the question the national news media want answered. The Sunday Times last week contacted the Liberal Democrat candidate Colin Ross for his views and on Sunday 1st October published a piece about a mysterious body called the Midlands Industrial Council.

This week a TV crew from the BBC Politics Show stopped Colin as he set out for work. They interviewed him on the subject of party political funding as mothers and children went past on their way to nearby St. Jude's School. Their programme will go out on BBC1 at 12.30 on Sunday 8th October.
