Cllrs Richard Whitehouse and Mike Heap campaign to save local bus services

Travel West Midlands has decided to reroute bus service 223 back though the Beacon Hill Estate missing out Ettingshall Park. Springvale Liberal Democrats fought hard for to get the service to run through Ettingshall Park and only found out by chance that it was to be rerouted from November 26th. There has been no consultation with residents or elected councillors. Cllr Richard Whitehouse said, "This is diabolical, the service is far better used now than it ever was before so I do not think the alteration has been done for sound commercial reasons. Some people on Beacon Hill Estate got their Labour MP to make representations to Travel West Midlands."

Cllr Whitehouse has launched a petition in his ward to try to get the buses back onto Ettingshall Park Estate.
