Euro MP Liz Lynne backs Robin's real nappy campaign

Following a long campaign led by Robin Lawrence and the Liberal Democrat Focus Team, Wolverhampton Council has decided to introduce a grant for new parents wishing to use washable nappies. Supported by West Midlands MEP Liz Lynne, Robin first raised this issue with the Council in 2004. Robin said "Thanks to our campaign and encouragement from other green campaigners, Wolverhampton Council has decided to make it easier for new parents to make the green switch to washable nappies. All of my children have used washables and I encourage other Park parents to take advantage of the council's £30 to switch to sustainable nappies too."

A two week trial scheme which will enable you to use a variety of different types of reusable nappy available to buy. The nappies will be delivered to you, along with instructions on usage and will also be collected from you at the end of the two weeks trial.

£30 will be refunded on production of an original receipt, to prove that you have purchased real nappies.
