Lib Dems gain Park and hold Springvale7.32.36pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 4th May 2007 Springvale declared before Park and Cllr Mike Heap had held his seat with 59% of the vote. He had 1884 votes against Labour's 826 and the Conservative's 374. At the Park count it was not at all clear who was in the lead until the very end. That it wasn't the Tories was obvious even to them and they slunk away with an even poorer result than last year. In the end there was a Lib Dem majority of 136 votes and Robin Lawrence became Park's first ever Lib Dem Councillor. Results for each ward and any changes to the political make up of the Council can be found at www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/results.
