Cllr Robin Lawrence reported forced entry to Hollyhocks House

Park Ward's Liberal Democrat Councillor, Cllr Robin Lawrence can report that Hollyhock House on Tettenhall Road should soon be boarded up and secured. Wolverhampton Council's Sustainable Communities Division are in the process of contacting the site owners to ask them to board up the site and secure it. If the site owners fail to do this then the Council will secure the site and charge the owners accordingly.

Local residents told Cllr Lawrence that they feared the derelict former care home was becoming a squat. Windows have been smashed and there is now easy access. There is supposed to be a 24 hour watch on the building but when Cllr Lawrence contacted the security company concerned they seemed unaware of any problems and have taken no action since.
