Cllr Lawrence inspects the plans to redevelop 202 Coleman Street

Park Ward's Liberal Democrat councillor, Robin Lawrence has alerted residents about a planning application that has been put in to the Council. It concerns the derelict house at 202 Coleman Street. The people applying want to clear the site completely and build a three storey block of eleven flats with 14 parking spaces. The plan includes the waste land and old buildings by No. 204 and the site extends as far back as Tring Court.

Councillor Robin Lawrence has inspected the plans and welcomes the fact that at long last a developer is prepared to improve this very neglected site. However, all the buildings in the area are only two storeys high and so this extra high building might look look out of place and even block out sunlight.

A new building on this site could improve the area but the wrong building could cause many problems. Cllr Robin Lawrence is encouraging everyone to inspect the plans and make their views known to him.

To see the plans go to Wolverhampton Civic Centre, 2nd floor, Reception Desk 24 of the Planning Dept and quote reference 07/00382/OUT
