"By-pass the Bush White House and talk to his successors" - Huhne

The Liberal Democrat's environment spokesman, Chris Huhne, was one of the headline speakers at the Campaign Against Climate Change Rally (www.campaigncc.org) today. In his speech, Chris Huhne branded George Bush a "Toxic Texan" and called for the international community to by-pass the Bush White House and talk to his successors.

In his speech to the Campaign Against Climate Change Rally in front of the US Embassy, Chris Huhne will said: "George Bush has acted with criminal irresponsibility towards the most threatening challenge of our times. If he is not prepared to change in the last year of his presidency, we should talk to his successors. All the main candidates - Romney, Giuliani, Clinton and Obama - have more sense in their little toes than President Bush has in his entire anatomy."

Chris Huhne also endorsed 'Contraction and Convergence' as the most feasible basis for global agreement to make the drastic cuts in emissions necessary to tackle climate change.
