Park Ward residents are furious at the considerable damage is being done to grass verges all round the West Park because of inconsiderate and inappropriate parking. Spurred on by Lib Dem Councillor Robin Lawrence Wolverhampton Council will fine drivers who park on the grassed areas and pavements.

Drivers causing this sort of damage face fines

Unfortunately the law empowering them to levy antisocial parking fines will not come into force until the end of March. Residents can be assured that Councillor Robin Lawrence and the Liberal Democrat Focus Team will be pressing the Council to use the new powers to prevent the continuing damage to grass verges around the West Park.
