Senior Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament, Lembit Opik, joined local candidates and campaigners in the run up to polling day. There was a photo shoot and interview for the Express and star by the Billy Wright statue outside Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club and members of the public were only too pleased to talk to Lembit.
The landlord of the Pegasus Pub in Whitmore Reans welcomed Lembit to his member's only club and offered his support to Zahid Shah in the election on Thursday and the Managing Director of FSC Financial Services invited Lembit and Zahid for coffee during which they has a useful discussion about the nation's economy. Lembit, Zahid and the team also knocked on doors across Whitmore Reans receiving a great response with many members of the public saying they have had enough of Labour and are switching to back Zahid and the Liberal Democrats this Thursday.
