Cllr Claire Darke examines work in progress

When residents of Crawford Road and Merridale Crescent complained to Cllr Robin Lawrence that the footpaths along their roads were in a poor state he took action to get them included in the footpath repair programme. An edition of Focus was able to report that he had succeeded and work would commence in April. And it did. The entire footpath has been dug up and resurfaced with smooth asphalt.

Cllr Claire Darke said, "This illustrates the way Liberal Democrat councillors work. We are always ready to take up the concerns of the residents of Park Ward and then we keep them informed about progress even if it turns out that the problem can not be solved."
