Local Tettenhall residents Sarah Sinclair and Paul Fellows have been re-selected to stand for the Liberal Democrats in Tettenhall Wightwick and Tettenhall Regis Wards (respectively) at the next set of local elections in May 2010.

Sarah and Paul, who live on Church Hill Road in Tettenhall, stood in May for the Liberal Democrats

Sarah and Paul are deeply concerned on how the economic downturn will affect Tettenhall residents, Sarah works in finance and Paul works in revenue protection both will bring their considerable skill in this area to developing policies along with the Liberal Democrats to try and soften the blow of the downturn locally.

Sarah said "Labour's policies have caused untold misery for local people, be it with the 10p tax debacle which left many pensioners and low paid without the money they need to survive or their failure to recognise the effects of their policies allowing credit to spiral out of control, the

Conservatives are not that much better, Vince Cable and the Liberal Democrats have shown the way time and time again."

Paul added "One of the best things about Tettenhall is the number of small businesses we have locally, Sarah and I will be talking to them over the coming months to see what measures the Liberal Democrats can take on the Council and nationally to help them through the current downturn."

Councillor Robin Lawrence said "Sarah and Paul are two of the leading lights in the Liberal Democrats locally when it comes to economics, I am sure they will be able to offer me and my colleagues on the Council some sound suggestions to how Wolverhampton Council can help local businesses in Tettenhall and help build a better Wolverhampton."
