The former Farndale School in Gatis Street is totally insecure. Zahid Shah and Robin Lawrence found its gates removed, boarded up doors broken into, graffiti sprayed on walls and drug needles left around the area. On a visit to the site Zahid and Robin found a steel gate had been removed making the padlock on the main gate pointless. There was evidence of vandalism and drug taking.

They have called for immediate action to make the building secure and want to see the old school and its land used properly for the benefit of the community.
