Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats have signed up to the 10:10 campaign

Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats have this week signed up to the 10:10 campaign and have committed to lowering their carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.

Local Party Chair Colin Ross said "Most of our members have already signed up, including Park Ward Councillors Claire Darke and Robin Lawrence and the 2010 Park Ward Candidate Jonathan Webber."

Colin added "After negotiations with our suppliers I am delighted to be able to confirm that Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats have signed up to the 10:10 campaign. Our Wolverhampton-based printers Choice Communications have also signed up to the 10:10 campaign as have our website hosting company. We will ask all of our suppliers, new and existing, to also sign up to campaign."

Councillors Robin Lawrence and Claire Darke have submitted a motion to the next meeting of Wolverhampton Council calling on the Council to sign up as well.

Individuals, businesses, education establishments and organisations can sign up to the 10:10 campaign at http://www.1010uk.org/
