Action against damage to road island

February 1, 2011 8:02 AM

Councillor Richard Whitehouse of Springvale Ward has been approached by residents of Waverley Crescent regarding the repeated damage to the island in the middle of their cul-de-sac. The damage has generally been done by delivery vans driving up on to the grassed parts of the island. The grass was repaired once only to be cut up again within a few days. The offenders will be pursued and if possible made to pay the reinstatement costs.
