In local council bye-elections on 25th July the Liberal Democrats gained one seat from the Tories and one from Labour.

The Brexit Party may have topped the poll in the Euro Elections in June but at the party's first attempt to win council representation through the ballot box they came a poor third in one seat and fourth in the other.
