Lib Dems at local carnivals and fayres

After two years of being cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic, local fayres and carnivals are back and the Liberal Democrats are also back with their stall.

The photo on the right shows our Wombourne tombola stall being readied before the official opening. The organisers have a parade of floats around the village to let people know the Carnival was about to open and the crowds poured in. We were kept very busy until closing time and had our most successful stall since records began in 2004.

The Albrighton Fayre is in the High Street which is closed to traffic but weekend shopping goes on as normal. Once again we had a very successful day. Several people showed great interest in the Liberal Democrats and took membership leaflets. The photo (left) shows a family checking their tickets to see it they had won anything. This family won many prizes.

As the Fayre draws to a close there is a parade down the High Street led by a rather tall lady followed by a marching band, classic cars, the RAF Red Barrows, and floats with local children in fancy dress enjoying the opportunity to spray water over the onlookers.
