Ben Mathis - Parliamentary candidate for Wolverhampton South East

Ben is 35, was born in Surrey, but later lived in Walsall where he attended Queen Mary's Grammar School.

His parents then moved to Coseley East in the constituency, where they still live. He joined the party over 10 years ago and in 2009 was a national officer (campaigns) for Liberal Youth.

He has held various jobs in retail while campaigning successfully for the Lib Dems. Since 2012 he has worked in the rail industry for Arriva and is an enthusiastic champion of public transport: train, tram, and bus. He believes we need to do more about air pollution, and supports measures to protect people from its harmful effects.
