Save the former Oxley library building for much needed youth facilities and a boxing club.

We the undersigned support the call from Liberal Democrat candidate Leyla Abbes for Wolverhampton City Council to resist demands for the demolition of the former Oxley library building on Probert Road and to use the Council owned site for much needed youth facilities and a boxing club.

This once useful community building has been empty and neglected for about a decade. Vandals have tried to get in which causes risks for the safety of local residents.

Bringing the building back to community use would help get kids off the streets and curb the plague of knife violence engulfing some parts of the city
